Three kinds of mail get answered fastest:

• Corrections. If we got a fact, a rule or a material wrong, tell us and point to the story. We fix errors in place and note the change.
• Story ideas. A building, a room, a workshop, a renovation that taught you something — especially if it is in the UAE and especially if it went wrong in an instructive way.
• Makers. If you build furniture, weave, carve gypsum, restore old houses or run a joinery in the Emirates, introduce yourself. The Design desk keeps a list.

We do not publish sponsored posts dressed as stories, and we do not trade coverage for products. If a story ever involves a commercial relationship, it will say so in the text.
